Cannes in Bloom: in the Heart of Creativity
Once again, this June, I had the joy and honour of travelling to Cannes to craft floral scenography for Amazon’s presence at the Cannes Lions Festival - a week-long celebration of creativity, innovation and storytelling.
Mosaic was entrusted with the design and execution of three key events: the Leadership Summit in the old town of Cannes, a full Pantiero takeover along La Croisette and an intimate dinner at Salama, a Moroccan restaurant where colour, culture and conversation met beneath the blooms.
Each project had its own rhythm, its own mood, its own language of flowers. And together, they painted a vibrant portrait of summer - one that spoke of citrus trees, Mediterranean warmth and contemporary elegance.
LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Our first installation took place in the heart of Le Suquet, a UNESCO World Heritage Site perched high above Cannes. The plaza, with its worn stones and sweeping views, was the stage for the Leadership Summit: a series of talks and panels reserved for VIP guests.
At the centre stood a four-metre-wide floral backdrop: sculptural and soft, drawing the eye and anchoring the space. Around it, nature unfurled with emotion and intent: statement florals such as proteas, peonies and roses created a powerful yet delicate atmosphere, echoing the depth of the conversations taking place.
Citrus played a key role throughout. Lemons became a subtle yet joyful motif - a nod to the Mediterranean spirit.
Shades of white, softened by touches of yellow, salmon and coral brought light to the historic stone walls, balancing restraint with boldness.
It was a space made to breathe, to listen, to inspire.
PANTIERO
Our second installation was a full floral takeover of Pantiero, right along the iconic La Croisette. For an entire week, we transformed the venue with compositions designed to feel both refined and generous - an ode to elegance, warmth and joy.
Inspired by orange trees and the soft, sun-faded textiles of the Riviera, we created florals that played with tone and texture.
Instead of leaning into a literal orange palette, we worked with more nuanced pastels - apricots, soft pinks, creams - allowing the vibrancy to unfold in layers.
Roses and peonies led the way, supported by lisianthus and carnations to bring movement and contrast. We used a mix of vessels, each chosen for its setting: white porcelain pedestals for the VIP areas, round ceramic vases for the business lounges and bold patterned orange pieces for more playful entertainment corners. Freeform bouquets gave a sense of wild elegance, while rounder shapes anchored the more structured zones.
Each arrangement was designed with intention - always responding to the space and the people in it.
SALAMA & LE MAJESTIC
Our final event was a dinner hosted at Salama, a Moroccan restaurant in the heart of Cannes, where we embraced a more intimate and luxurious floral language.
The brief was clear: Mediterranean elegance with a tropical edge. We responded with earthy tones and structured yet lush compositions - blooms that whispered warmth, abundance and quiet sophistication.
The photos don’t quite capture it - that golden-hour glow, the soft scent of blooms warming in the night air, the way the flowers danced in candlelight.
It was one of those evenings you carry with you, long after the last guest has gone home.
Three events. One week. A thousand moments woven with petals and place.
Cannes, you were unforgettable.
